It is important to ensure that the material is not damaged when transferred to the filter so that its quality is retained.
It is thus advisable to use water to wash the material into the filter basin as this will ensure that the particle profile is retained. The friction generated during pulsation of the granules when an airjet system is used for filling will create some smaller granules.
